This summer is dedicated again to Hispanic cinema!
The Festival de Cine Hispanófono de Atenas (FeCHA) returns this year to the “Lais” open air cinema, with 15 premieres of Hispanic films, keeping us company under the stars. At the opening on the 8th of June, we will sink into the mystery of the “Invisible Guest” –a thriller reminiscent of the best of Hitchcock- and the festival will close on the 15th of June with Ricardo Darin and the acclaimed film, “Koblic”.
During the eight days of FeCHA, the audience will have the chance to enjoy –amongst others– the new film starring Gael Garcia Bernal, the comic surrealism of Álex de la Iglesia, as well as the film “Land and Shade”, which was awarded the Jury Award at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. Furthermore, they will be exposed to the important social and political milestones of Latin America.
For a second year in a row, FeCHA brings multi-awarded cinematic gems from Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, and Cuba to the centre of Athens.
Tuesday the 13th of June, loyal to the superstition of the day, we are paying homage to the Spanish horror genre and we will be screening in the indoor screening room the claustrophobic film, “The Writer’s Burrow”.
After the opening night film, “The Invisible Guest”, a cocktail party will follow on the terrace of the Greek Film Archive.
